Dearest teachers,
With the upcoming national day celebration, our school’s uniform group has been actively participating n the event and thus, it is my concern that the well- being of the cadets are met.
During the past few rehersals, a few of our cadets felt unwell due to the sweltering heat and have fainted or vomited. I feel that this should not be happening as having a heat stroke is a serious matter and should not be treated lightly. Furthermore, heat stroke could lead to death if it is extremely severe. For that reason, medical cadets should be stationed at the side to provide first hand medical assistance. But most importantly, to avoid such circumstances, cadets must be well hydrated before the start of each rehersals and also to replenish their body fluid in between rehersals. I believe that both you teachers and the parents of the cadets do not wish to see students being injured in the process of the rehersals. Thus, in order to prevent more of such misfortunes, I would like to emphasize the importance of water parade before NDP rehersals.
All Uniform Group leaders are to instill water parade before the NDP rehersals to ensure that their cadets are well- hydrated. This would certainly help in hydrating the cadets and prevent any more students from feeling unwell during the rehersals. This would help in making the rehersals more smooth-sailing too.
Therefore, I would like all those involved in the upcoming national day parade to be serious about the importance of having a water parade before the NDP rehersals. Would you rather be unwell and to not be able to be part of the NDP celebration or to be well and be able to be part of this memorable day and hydrate yourself well before the parade? The choice is yours.
Thank you.
